DRAGON’S Den star Theo Paphitis today urges businesses to unleash the bulldog spirit shown in the Covid crisis to prepare for Brexit.
The high street tycoon backed the Government’s campaign to launch an advertising blitz to help the country get ready for Britain’s exit.

Brits will be urged to get full travel insurance, ensure their passport is valid and check mobile roaming costs before travelling to Europe.
While pet owners will need to contact their vet to get a pet passport at least four months before they travel.
Meanwhile, businesses will be given help registering with the relevant customs authorities ahead of December 31.
No10 has set up a £93million pot of money for the PR campaign – dubbed ‘The UK’s new start: let’s get going’ – and to help businesses.
Mr Paphitis, who runs the Ryman stationary chain and hardware retailer Robert Dyas, backed the campaign.
He told The Sun: “No business could have predicted or prepared for what Covid-19 has thrown at them over the last few months.
“Yet, during lockdown we saw British business at its best. Local breweries turned their hand to making hand sanitiser, fashion firms swapped stitching clothing for face coverings and our corner shops kept us supplied with essentials.
“With little to no warning, businesses adapted with a Dunkirk-like spirit to support the country.
“Now, with the shutters coming up, many are continuing with an enterprising Bulldog spirit – just look at the creative ways pubs and restaurants are protecting their customers and staff while making them inviting, and as a shopkeeper hearing one of my favourite sounds, the tills ringing again.”
He warned that as Britain heads towards December 31, more big changes lie ahead for businesses.
He said: “That will mean important changes for businesses, large and small.
We need to make sure we’re ready.”
Michael Gove said: “At the end of this year we are leaving the single market and Customs Union regardless of the type of agreement we reach with the EU.

COVID-19 may be our sworn enemy but, in business, change isn’t.
That’s why I’m optimistic about the further change coming down the tracks for businesses.
At the end of this year the transition period with the EU ends. That will mean important changes for businesses, large and small. We need to make sure we’re ready.
