Boris Johnson tests NEGATIVE for coronavirus & has no symptoms – but continues to isolate

BORIS Johnson has tested negative for coronavirus but will continue to isolate for another week and a half in case he’s developed it again.

The PM nearly died from the virus earlier this year, but has been forced into isolation again after coming into close contact with an MP who tested positive.

No10 said today that Downing Street had joined the trial of lateral flow quick result tests – meaning the PM and staff can access rapid turnaround tests.

He was tested as a precautionary measure and still is feeling well with no symptoms, his spokesperson said today.

Yesterday he insisted he was as “fit as a butchers dog” but had to isolate in accordance with the rules.

Last Thursday he met with MP Lee Anderson in his office, and he later tested positive for the virus.

The PM was in intensive care earlier this year with the virus, but battled through and recovered.

He will continue to isolate for another week and two days – until next Thursday.

It was also revealed today that the PM will take PMQS tomorrow over Zoom – a historic first.

Previously people speaking in the House of Commons from the front benches were not able to take part remotely and must be there in person.

Boris will go up against Sir Keir Starmer tomorrow lunchtime as usual, but from his No10 office.
